  4. This software is based in part on the work of the Independent JPEG Group.

  6. It is actually a port of djpeg to RISC OS with a subtle change to alter
  7. the handling of unknown major revision numbers.  The standard version 6a
  8. distribution treats an unknown major version number as a warning.  This
  9. causes problems for ArcWeb (and ChangeFSI) as the program attempts to
  10. write this to the screen and causes a VDU4-style window to open and
  11. requires the user to "Press SPACE or click mouse to coninue."
  12.  
  13. I have *altered* the handling of this situation to downgrade the message
  14. to a trace level message.  This means that it doesn't appear unless
  15. you are using the -verbose option.   This is the only alteration I have
  16. made to the distribution code.
